Juggling work, home, family and other commitments along with the stress of being constantly wired into our mobile phones, social media and other electronics makes it hard to slow down and just breathe! Looking back on the last few decades it cannot be argued that life has slowed down and become less busy. The complete opposite is true, and many of us are now so much busier than our parents generation.
Creating a healthy life/work/family balance is sometimes easier said than done, but by taking the time to introduce aspects of mindfulness into your everyday life can lead to massive benefits – not only to yourself with lower levels of stress, anxiety and illness, but also to your immediate family, work colleagues and friends who also reap the benefits of a more relaxed you!
You can enjoy one on one coaching sessions with Glenn to develop a wholistic, mindful approach to life, or just choose to enjoy an occasional yin yoga class with a small group of like minded people. Either enjoy this as part of the Change4Life program or as individual sessions. Private Health Rebates available.
Yoga Coaching specialises in your wellbeing.
In simple terms think of a holistic coach who can help you maintain wellness across all areas of your life – physically, mentally and emotionally.
Using the wider science of yoga, I take a holistic view of your health and potential. Honouring the traditional roots of yoga in a modern day framework, yoga coaching combines the wisdom of yogic philosophy with modern science.
Yoga coaching begins with a comprehensive assessment of the whole body based on yogic principles. I assess your range of movement, stability, flexibility, current nutrition, hydration, breathing and we will also discuss any challenges or stresses that you may be experiencing in your life.
After your assessment you will receive coaching and guidance with a personalised plan to introduce lifestyle modifications and practises, to make positive changes and have a foundation, for vitality, longevity and quality of life.
This program may consist of flowing yoga movements or static Yin Yoga held poses depending on your individual needs.
You will learn how to:
* Balance the body (stability, flexibility, and a range of movement through asanas)
* Train and enhance the breath, using simple Pranayama techniques (to achieve serenity and calmness)
* Support wellbeing (with lifestyle modifications)
* Actively stress the joints in a safe manner in yin yoga to make them stronger and more flexible
* Assistance in settling and focusing the mind (enabling one point of concentration at one time)
The Yoga Coach philosophy is that developing these skills are the foundations for a life full of vitality and living in purpose.
